In the middle of nowhere, but close to everywhere.
This is a real working arable farm which has diversified to include a DIY livery yard, with three generations living on site. We have lots to see, including tame sheep, alpacas, poultry, tractors at work and horses walking past the door. We have lots of British wildlife including owls, bats, deer, foxes and the field behind the cottage is often full of rabbits.

Alpacas
Alpacas
We have 3 alpacas living in the field behind the cottage, you can look out of the bedrooms onto Freya, Felicity and Oscar.
Sheep
Sheep
Monty and Alfie came to live on the farm at 4 and 7 days old in 2017, they were bottle reared so are tame. Monty is part of our meet and greet team and frequently comes to speak to people.
Horses

We have between 40 and 50 horses on the farm, these are owned by other people who keep them here on livery, however they frequently walk past the cottage and a farm and stable tour can be arranged if you are interested in meeting some.
Poultry and more

We keep a few chickens on the farm so fresh, free range eggs are often available. We have a few farm cats that come visiting in the mornings, a bouncy toy poodle cross disguised as a farm dog, plenty of wildlife and you may even meet Sheldon, our pet tortoise.

The Family
Our family have been recorded as living and working in the Lanhydrock area since the church records began and have been in the current business since 1932 when my great grandparents took on the tenancy of a farm just up the road from Lidcutt. Lidcutt Farm was purchased in 1971 and was initially a traditional beef and sheep farm. The farm has changed and diversified in lots of ways over the years and is now a 200 acre arable farm with a DIY livery yard diversification. Everyone living on the farm also has other jobs alongside farming including accountancy, cheffing and nursing.
